By doing this she became the first Latina in history to produce the show, as well as write and host her own television show. Her career began in Los Angeles after she moved from Texas. She has had guest appearances on TV shows like Sons of Anarchy or General Hospital. She also has written for TV shows such as Mind of Mencia. Also, she hosts and appears on the TV show 'The View.
