Sharon Yvonne Stone, born 10 March 1958 from Meadville (Pennsylvania) was the daughter of Dorothy Lawson, a former employee at a factory as well as Joseph William Stone, a tool maker and die maker. Michael, Kelly and Patrick are her three siblings. Stone was thought to be gifted academically as a child and began the second grade when she was five. Saegertown School in Saegertown Pennsylvania was her high school. Her graduation was in 1975. In 1975, the Miss Pennsylvania beauty competition saw Stone winning Miss Crawford County. Stone, along with her aunt in 1977, relocated to New Jersey for a modeling job. She was signed by Ford Modeling Agency a week later. In Europe Stone was able to spend a whole year in Milano and Paris. But, Stone became disillusioned with the world of modeling in Europe which led her to pursue acting while in the country. She appeared at 20 in Woody Allen's "Stardust Memories," which received mixed receptions.
